Elsa Carvalho explores the fluid boundaries between digital processes and organic memory. Shaped by an early life on a farm, and by years marked by movement across continents, work, relationships, and academic research, her practice has become an abstract return to the rhythms of nature and the animal forms of her childhood. Living away from that environment, she translates these early sensibilities into works developed through a combination of code and artificial intelligence, rejecting fixed states and unfolding instead as continuous transformations marked by a strong chromatic presence. Oscillating between the microscopic and the cosmic, her work traces shifting perceptions of space and movement, where curiosity, imperfection, and the unexpected remain central.
