Why Digital Signage Operators Invest in LED.ART
The Most Effective Content for Enhancing the Value of LED Displays

by Interview with Hiroki Fujii (YUNIKA Digital Solution Div.)

@Kanban Keiei, June 2026

In February 2024, LED.ART, a globally acclaimed digital art content platform, was officially introduced to the Japanese market.
LED.ART is a digital art platform operated by Korea’s d'strict and CJ Group. Known for its dynamic and immersive visual experiences, it has earned worldwide recognition for maximizing the impact and appeal of LED displays.
In November 2024, LED.ART was launched in Japan for the first time through Yunika Vision (Shinjuku), one of Tokyo’s most iconic digital signage platforms. It was later expanded to Cross Vision (Shinjuku) and Pandora Vision (Shibuya). In February 2026, LED.ART was also selected as the opening content for the newly launched Shibuhara Vision (Harajuku). Today, Yunika operates LED.ART across all four of its digital display networks.
We spoke with Hiroki Fujii of Yunika’s Digital Solutions Division to learn why the company decided to renew its annual LED.ART agreement for a second consecutive year and what benefits they have experienced over the past year.

How Has the Market Environment Changed in Recent Years?
Over the past year, we have seen a significant increase in anime-related advertising campaigns. During the launch periods of new seasonal anime series, it is not uncommon for dozens of promotional campaigns to be displayed simultaneously. At the same time, the number of LED displays has grown rapidly, making competition increasingly intense. In major commercial districts such as Shibuya and Shinjuku, digital signage has become virtually ubiquitous.
As a result, factors such as unique display formats—curved screens, L-shaped installations, and premium content shown between advertisements—have become increasingly important in helping media owners differentiate themselves and attract advertisers.
Since 2024, we have also implemented OOH Analytics across Yunika Vision (Shinjuku) and Cross Vision (Shinjuku), using AI to analyze audience demographics and engagement. This data helps us communicate the value of our displays more clearly to advertisers and provides them with stronger reasons to choose our media assets.

What Makes Shibuhara Vision (Harajuku) Unique?
Shibuhara Vision is located between Shibuya and Harajuku, an area visited by a diverse mix of local residents and international tourists.
Our goal was to create an LED display that could become a symbol of the area. The building itself features a highly distinctive architectural design, and we wanted content that could elevate and complement that visual identity. That is one of the key reasons we chose to showcase LED.ART from the very beginning. We wanted to create a strong sense of artistic integration between the building and the content. By combining a visually striking building with equally compelling content, we believed we could enhance the overall experience and increase the value of the display itself.
The primary audience consists of trend-conscious young consumers and shoppers, while our target advertisers include fashion, entertainment, beauty, and lifestyle brands.

Why Did You Decide to Continue LED.ART in 2026?
The biggest reason is the improvement in audience experience.
LED.ART creates a sense of immersion that naturally captures attention and encourages people to  stop and engage with the display. People who would normally walk past an LED screen without noticing it are more likely to pause and watch when LED.ART is being shown. That alone became a compelling reason for us to continue the partnership.
Yunika Vision (Shinjuku) is known for entertainment content, while Cross Vision (Shinjuku) is famous for its 3D cat. LED.ART adds another layer by delivering an unexpected and memorable experience to visitors.
It broadens the identity of each display and serves as one of the most effective ways to enhance the overall value of digital signage.

Which LED.ART Work Left the Strongest Impression?
Without a doubt, it was “JELLYFISH FOREST", which served as the opening content for Shibuhara Vision (Harajuku). Many stakeholders commented on how seamlessly the artwork integrated with the display itself.
Shibuhara Vision measures 11.2 meters wide by 8.4 meters high, creating an almost square format, and features a curved black-face LED structure.
The artwork matched the display’s physical characteristics exceptionally well, creating an experience that felt like looking into a giant aquarium. The richness and vibrancy of the visuals made it one of the most beautiful scenes we have ever presented.

Finally, What Is the Value of Investing in Premium Content?
For digital signage operators, investing in content remains a significant challenge, even today. However, consistently showcasing high-quality content attracts attention on its own.
It can create moments where advertisers passing by think, “This is a great display.” Investing in initiatives that enhance the value of digital signage is essential for long-term growth.
We believe LED.ART plays exactly that role.

The Value Created by LED.ART
LED.ART is far more than beautiful visual content. Great content captures attention, enriches spatial experiences, and strengthens the brand value of digital signage.
Ultimately, investing in content goes beyond generating advertising revenue. It elevates the value of a space, creates stronger audience engagement, and provides advertisers with a more compelling platform. From that perspective, LED.ART is one of the most effective content solutions available for increasing the value of digital signage.
