mmmeari creates looped animations depicting urban landscapes situated at the boundary between reality and ideality. During their studies in animation, the artist became deeply interested in the process of infusing images with a sense of time, which later evolved into a core visual language built on repetition and cyclical movement. Within these works, short scenes expanded through motion unfold as a single, continuous breath. Elements that compose the city—such as buildings, trees, and people—subtly respond to one another, forming quiet relationships within the frame. As viewers follow the rhythm created by incremental changes, they are invited to uncover their own memories and narratives, while gently encountering the emotional layers and temporal textures embedded in the urban landscape.
