This piece is drawn from my project Blue Mountains, the fifth work in the Shanshui series. Through layered blues and slow animation, the project gives form to deeply buried sorrow, turning it into a landscape I can approach and inhabit. In this fragment, a low mountain range emerges from a pale blue surface. Rippling folds build into rounded peaks, while their reflections stretch across the water. A moon slowly rises behind the mountains, bringing land and reflection into balance within the open, softly lit landscape.
