This piece is drawn from my project Blue Mountains, the fifth work in the Shanshui series. Through layered blues and slow animation, the project gives form to deeply buried sorrow, turning it into a landscape I can approach and inhabit. In this vertical fragment, layered ridges grow into a tall mountain against a dark background. Blue folds carry fine green and violet accents, revealing narrow valleys and overlapping peaks. A moon gradually appears between the ridges, drawing the eye into the depth of the rising landscape.
