MSTP_2023 draws on software techniques inspired by Alan Turing’s pioneering research into morphogenesis—the study of how patterns emerge in nature. While the underlying process can mimic the markings of leopards, butterflies, or other organic forms, here it is harnessed toward abstraction. The work presents a continuously shifting array of overlapping structures, flowing in and out of view like an intricate surface in quiet motion. The result is less a narrative of change than a meditation on variation within constraint, echoing the rhythms of natural growth while remaining distinctly digital in its execution. Accompanied by sound that underscores its measured pace, MSTP_2023 creates an environment that is contemplative and immersive, inviting the viewer to become attuned to delicate fluctuations over time.
