Gentle tidal waves shape and reshape the sandbanks of Kachemak Bay, forming temporary islands that emerge and dissolve with each cycle. From above, the landscape reveals a restrained, almost monochrome palette, where subtle tonal shifts define depth, flow, and structure. Within this quiet movement, never-repeating patterns unfold—fine textures, soft edges, and layered currents continuously redrawn by the tide. The interplay between deep, near-black channels and pale, sediment-rich water creates a strong yet minimal contrast, emphasizing both the fragility and persistence of these transient formations.
