During a year of global travel, I faced the constant anxiety of being an outsider. A small house in Berlin finally halted my weary drifting. Through a warm connection with the host and the lush garden, I found profound peace. This artwork records that moment—a testament to 'Topophilia,' a deep love of place. The checkered roof and garden represent where I firmly planted my feet. Small chairs symbolize tranquility, while "Mein glückliches Zuhause" (My Happy Home) honors this sanctuary. From here bloom vivid tree peonies, echoing Korean folk art's wish for peace. These brilliant flowers prove how one month of tranquility became a powerful narrative of salvation in my universe.
