Along the glacial river Þjórsá in South Iceland, partially frozen surfaces break into shifting ice formations shaped by flow, pressure, and temperature. Large plates fracture, drift, and collide, forming irregular structures separated by dark channels of moving water. Variations in opacity, texture, and tone range from dense surfaces to translucent edges and fragmented debris. The interaction between solid and liquid states creates a dynamic balance between structure and movement, revealing a landscape defined by tension, fragmentation, and gradual transformation.
