This work uses the circular structure of a carousel as a stage to explore the sculptural tension created by light and material. Golden horse forms and transparent glass horse forms are arranged in alternation, contrasting the warmth and visual weight of different textures, while a strong central light source establishes a rhythmic flow across the scene. Even from a fixed viewpoint, the viewer experiences a sense of visual motion generated through rotation, reflection, and refraction. Rooted in traditional decorative motifs, the piece is reinterpreted with polished surfaces and a contemporary high-gloss finish. Ultimately, it transforms the familiar object of an “amusement ride” into a sensory sculptural work, focusing on building a refined balance and immersive intensity within its lavish spectacle.
