MIRARUIDO

This is a forgotten tale, overshadowed by its tragic end. In 1970, post-Apollo 11 success, NASA planned an aerial tramway to the Moon, named the "Space Tram".Apollo 14 mission carried a cable to the Moon, connected to Earth. On 7/24/1974, Commander Lori embarked on the first ride. All seemed fine until 10,000 km from the Moon, the cable snapped. Commander Lori drifted into space, saying, "I think I'm skipping this stop" before losing contact. The Space Tramway program ended in silence. Today, this is a glimpse of what could have been.
